Welcome to Pen & Pixel

Pen & Pixel is an annual showcase held by the students of Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) located at the Clonmel campus of Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT).

Pen & Pixel 2016 will be opened on Wednesday the 25th of May at 6.00pm in LIT Clonmel (see LIT Clonmel on map). All of the work exhibited is created by Creative Multimedia, Digital Animation Production and Game Art & Design students from the past academic year.

B.Sc (Honours) in Creative Multimedia - CAO Code - LC517

The Creative Multimedia programme is designed to provide learners with advanced knowledge and skills in digital media, design and technology. This includes the design and development of interactive systems, the production of high quality digital media content and the application of digital media in the promotion of products and services. You will be introduced to a range of areas that reflect established and emerging industry best practice including graphic design, digital audio and video production, motion graphics, 2D and 3D digital animation, digital media technology, web and mobile application development, casual game development, social media, marketing, web advertising, web analytics and communications. B.Sc (Honours) in Digital Animation Production - CAO Code - LC518

The convergence of the technology, media and games industries has created the need for a new type of graduate who possesses a unique blend of artistic and technological skills. Within the Digital Animation Production programme, you will learn how to create, design and develop 2D & 3D animation that meets the needs of a range of sectors in the creative industries. In addition to developing your artistic ability, you will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to produce a range of digital media assets and the ability to publish these in a wide variety of formats. B.Sc (Honours) in Game Art and Design - CAO Code - LC502

The continued growth and success of the games industry both nationally and internationally has created the need for creative graduates who possess a unique blend of artistic and technological skills. In this programme, you will learn how to create and develop high quality game content, design game levels and work with industry leading content creations tools, scripting languages and games engines. In addition to developing your artistic ability, you will acquire the knowledge and skills to produce game content for various gaming applications and platforms. The programme provides advanced modules in both the creative and technical processes involved in producing game content and will also provide you with a foundation in the business and management of game projects.
